Flying at 10 weeks

Hi

I'm currently 6-7 weeks pregnant and due to fly long haul at the end of January when I will be approx 10 weeks. My doctors and everything I have researched indicates its safe, but I'm still really anxious. What if something awful happened to the baby when we were away? Or worse, while we were on the plane? Has anyone here managed it OK? And how did you deal with sickness on a flight?

Thanks

It's totally fine, don't worry! I fly lots for work and it's always been ok. The sickness part... Bring a bag haha. But again I've somehow always ended up fine.

Totally agree with PP, try not to worry! I flew at 9 and 11 weeks and everything was okay. With regards to sickness I tried travel sickness tablets but unfortunately they weren’t too helpful for me, try to take a bag if you can just in case.

I flew when I was about 8 or 9 weeks, I just took some bags in case I felt sick, as well as ginger nuts etc. Was fine except I kept needing a wee!

I also worked as cabin crew for many years and unfortunately I did work a flight where a lady had a suspected miscarriage. I say suspected as we aren’t doctors and she was still early on, and bleeding doesn’t always mean miscarriage so we never knew the outcome. Just try not to stress and enjoy yourself!
