Can you have a smear test when your pregnant? I'm about 4 weeks pregnant. Only found out recent and not sure if I can get smear done?

No will need to be 12 weeks after birth 😊. Recently had this myself. Pregnancy hormones can change cells I believe so test is inaccurate while pregnant.

Congratulations! If you ring your GP practice they’ll change the reminder date for you so you get called in at least 12 weeks after birth. I was the same position as you, just found out then got my smear letter 😂 no problems so far though and I’m 19+2. My friend actually had her smear not knowing she was pregnant! She has a healthy 6 year old daughter now ☺️

I had one done at 13 weeks because I had a lletz previous to this pregnancy and needed to check the cells were still gone. In some circumstances, they will.

@Jeyla1230 it's where there remove some of your cervix if you have abnormal cells following your smear. It stands for large loop excision of the transformation zone! Xx
