32 weeks aches

so I am approaching my 32nd week of pregnancy. It has been very smooth sailing up to now and I am so grateful for that. Literally no issues apart from the occasional killer heartburn.

My back has started aching on the right side about mid way up. Happens if I spend a lot of time sitting which I do for work. Even driving/ sat having a meal it hurts. Then it just gets worse and worse and won’t go away even when I get home and can lie down. I use paracetamol and hot water bottle but it doesn’t touch it. Anyone has similar and anything works? I know I have 8 weeks left and am gunna struggle 🙈 especially since baby was measuring big so had growth scan and she is 93rd centile. Although I don’t look big she is all baby and I think she’s pressing on things making the pain worse.

To go with the back pain I often get a pain in ribs on the same side as back pain so I can’t lean forward to help the back pain as it makes the rib pain worse!

It could be caused by the baby being in certain positions which unfortunately there’s not much you can do, just hope baby shifts a bit.

Prenatal yoga if you aren’t already doing it - nothing crazy - YouTube videos will help. Full body massage or back massage will maybe help too if you perhaps haven’t had one. Lean over yoga ball to help shift baby position that may help too & relieves pressure on back. I’m 30 weeks today and have had all sorts of pains including spd pgp so feel you

I’m 37 weeks and had aches like that since around 30 week mark. I don’t drive anymore because it just got too painful - left hand side pain so changing gear was just so painful. I think mine is round ligament pain.

Mentioned it to midwife who wasn’t that bothered really… but it can get really painful. If I’m upright or sitting it’s worse. I spend most of my day lying on my left hand side.

@ActDottie sounds the exact same! Only comfy if I am lying!!! But then if it’s hurting bad from being sat for a while it continues to hurt whilst lying down. Going to be a fun 6 weeks left at work 🤞🏼🤣
