37 weeks…am I close?

Hi all!

just looking for some similar experiences or opinions. I’m currently 37 weeks FTM. I’ve had a pretty rough pregnancy in terms of sickness which has been pretty much all the way through. I’m still sick several times a day now. I have some excess fluid around the baby but only mildly. I’ve been scanned every 4 weeks from 20 weeks but it’s looking like I can have a natural delivery which is good news. The past week I’ve noticed a lot of changes with baby and my body. First thing I noticed was a noticeable increase of liquid in my pants, so much so it had come through my tights at work. This went on for a couple of days so I went and got checked, it wasn’t amniotic. Secondly baby’s movements have massively increased over the last week to the point that he keeps me awake kicking through the night rather than having a couple of set times. I am also having what I can only describe as shooting pains in my nipples throughout the day. Lastly baby is very low, I was scanned 2 days ago and they couldn’t get to the head. I literally feel like his head is in my bum and I’m sitting on him 😂. I suppose what I’m asking is is this all normal for 37 weeks or could these be signs that baby is close to coming? I haven’t broken up from work yet!

It could mean something, or it might not. Have you mentioned the change in movements to a midwife? Even if they are increased rather than decreased they will want to check x

Great. This last bit can be hard; you could be 1 day or 4+ weeks away. Good luck!

It's very difficult to give advice as everyone's pregnancy is different. But in my experience the head being low down is a sign that you haven't got much longer to wait. Good luck.

It's all pretty normal for 37 weeks. You are close to the end, but nobody can predict when that will be . Best wishes !

After 4 you can still go weeks feeling like your sitting on them lol. I feel for you had the sickness all the way thru aswell it was awful but luckily quick deliveries on all
