Sweep outcome help needed

Hi everyone I am currently 40 weeks + 1 day I went for a sweep and I am 1cm dilated anyone been in the same boat and have any success from the sweep? Thank you x

With dd1 I had a sweep and was told I was already 1cm. Straight after the sweep I started with slight period type pains that lasted for the next 24 hours then I was in labour 2 days later so it worked for me. I think seen as your already 1cm that's a good sign. Do you have any cramping

Thank you for your reply! Yes I do have slight cramping and have done most evenings for the past week or so, tonight seems about the same just feel overall uncomfortable and getting cramps in my hips and bum it's my first so I have no idea what to expect lol xx

I had a sweep in the same scenario, cramps and lost mucus plug over the next 24 hours then went into labour 48 hours later. Baby arrived 24 hours after that. Good luck!
