Continuous spotting during pregnancy

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I've been continuously spotting since I was 5 weeks pregnant. No pain or cramps and I'm just wondering if this is normal and if anyone else has experienced this. The spotting is brown and not heavy.

Hiya I didn't have brown spotting mines was light pink and it was on and off for the first few months of my pregnancy, everything has been fine though and currently 30 weeks. They couldn't find a specific reason for my spotting either just said that it happens with some pregnancys however if you're worried I'd get in touch with your early pregnancy unit and they can get you in to check you out. Hope you're doing ok though I know it's impossible not to panic and think the worst.

Hi, I’ve been constant spotting since 6weeks currently 9w5d. They found early on that I have a hematoma that is causing the spotting.
everything seems fine and drs are not worried.
did you had a scan so far?

I had brown spotting from 5 weeks until about 13 weeks (it went off and then came back after 12 week scan for a few days).

All was fine and I now have an 8 month old.

I did call the GP and they referred me to the early pregnancy unit for a scan to check all was ok.

@givenupcaring92 Has your daughter been seen by the hospital? Spotting and cramps could very well be nothing but should definitely be checked out, and PLEASE don’t rely on a home Doppler for reassurance, it needs to be used and interpreted by a trained professional and can stop you from paying attention to other signs. If she’s worried at any time in her pregnancy, she needs to talk to a medic. I’m sure it’s all fine but better to be safe than sorry :)

Thank you for your responses. I did get a scan at 5 weeks when I had very minimal spotting and had a bit of pain on my right side. I was told that the pain was because I ovulated from my right ovary but nothing was said about the spotting. Since then the spotting has increased but I wouldn't call it bleeding. I was just wondering if others had the same thing where they were spotting during their pregnancy and for how long

I am also experiencing this. Was there an update? I’m 5 weeks pregnant and pain on right side but not severe
