Sorry about TMI but thought I'd ask to see if this is normal as I certainly don't remember it from being pg with ds 5 years ago.

Recently my knickers have been needing to be changed at least a couple of times a day as they are very wet, yucky and stinky . I've been on a course most of the day and noticed that even my trousers are damp and they also need washing.

Is this normal? I presume I'm not leaking waters as imagine that would be very obvious? But I must admit I'm concerned about just how wet things are down there.

Sorry to ask but it's not something I want to ask anyone in RL. I have a Dr's check on Tuesday and wondering if I should mention it or if it's normal?

TIA

A certain amount of discharge is normal, but: if there is a chance that it could be your waters, then you need to speak to your midwife asap. Another possibility is an infection such as thrush.

If it smells and there is a lot then it most likely could be an infection.I'd give your mw or gp a call and get an appointment asap. Hope you're ok.

Thank belgo - thrush a big possibility actually as been itchy and have suffered a lot with that in the past. Was told once before that thrush isn't a risk to baby so not so worried about that although i'm surprised at how wet things are as i never got like this pre-pg with thrush iyswim. I'm wondering if maybe i just mention it to the Dr on Tuesday or whether to call the midwife? (although I HATE bothering people and don't want midwife getting moody because I've called her mobile at the weekend! )

Yes, it does smell. Had a bit of greeny stuff recently (not much) and white stuff like you get with thrush but today for example, it's more clear (got black knickers on ) but wet enough to be like I'd wet myself a bit! Oh....who do I call?

any thing green or stinky in the foofoo department needs checking out ASAP

before tuesday ideally...

could be infection

I would call MW just to be sure. I get thrush a lot when pg and it isn't wet like i had wet myself and never green.

If it is your waters then I remember MW saying if it is green you must come in straight away.

Dont want to alarm you as I am sure it is nothing but you really should get it checked if nothing else it will put your mind at rest.

Call your local delivery suite if you dont want to call MW direct.

Thanks, tried to come back on but after phoning MW then delivery suite, I couldn't get back online (I have probs with connection when use phone! ). Anyway, del suite told me to go in, just got back after 3 and half hours there!! (they are very busy). I have bad thrush hence the much wetter than normal, plus they are growing samples in lab to check for other infection. Also have protein in my urine and I'm to get results of that on Tuesday when I see GP. I've had a bit of back pain and going to toilet lots so I'm thinking probably a water infection?

Anyway, thanks for helping me out earlier, I feel better having been checked out. Off to eat now as soooooo hungry!!
