Dropping from 90th centile to 48th at 35 weeks

Does anyone have any experience of this please as I am getting a bit anxious?

I am 35 weeks pregnant with DS2. DS1 was born premature at 34 weeks (no reason why could be found) and was on the 10th centile even for his gestation. My husband and I are both only small so it was never a concern.

DS2 has measured at 90th centile, 70th centile and now 48th centile at 3 weekly growth scans. As he has now dropped 2 centiles they are talking about inducing me at 37 weeks. He is moving lots and the cord flow has been good on all scans but I am a bit worried! Anyone else have any similar experiences/ stories they can share please?

Just wondering how this went as I’m in the same position currently, my baby has been on 97th percentile from 28 weeks and now at 35 weeks has dropped to 62 percentile.

I'd imagine they'd just measured wrong, or the baby grows quickly then slows down, they're all so different.

In mid December, I was told my girl was already over 6lbs and would be a whopper by the time she came in late Feb.
She was born at 34 weeks in Jan and was a tiny 4lb 6oz and on the 2nd centile even for her gestation.

It's not an exact science, and there's still so little we understand about how babies grow etc.

In all honesty I just think the growth scans are wildly inaccurate. They measured me again at 37 weeks and I hadn’t dropped so they left me to it.

Baby arrived the day before his due date perfectly healthy and happy but he was small and on the 6th centile. Again not really surprising and me and my husband are both very small and our first baby was on the 10th centile. Hope that offers some reassurance for someone 🥰
