Possible slow labour?

Hey! So I had a sweep Thursday and since then I’ve been gradually losing my bloody show/mucus plug. Having pains on and off but everything keeps stopping and starting. It’s my third baby but so different to my other two. (This is my first boy). I’m due Christmas Eve. Has anyone else had this and Labour isn’t too far away?🤞🏻 I’ve got two sweeps booked for this coming week and then an induction a week after I’m due which I’m wanting to avoid if possible! X

With my two, I had on and off contractions for 4-5 days each time. It would always pick up at night and ease off during the day, but sometimes incredibly intense. It's totally normal for some people! Look up prodromal labour. I'd focus on getting cosy and getting some rest if you can 😊

I was contracting for 3 weeks at 35 weeks(sorry, not what u wanna hear) in slow labour with my 4th. My 4th pregnancy was completely different to my other 3. Ended up having baby at 38 weeks via emergency c section 2 days b4 planned c section as I was 3cm dilated

it just have been slow labour as my waters went this morning but still no contractions😫🤞🏻

I would recommend going to triage for them to check you over my lovely. As your waters have gone.

I phoned them straight away and they said to come in after 4 hours. Water’s definitely gone. And I’ll be staying until baby is here🥰

Still no contractions or pain. Got to go back into hospital at 7.30am tomorrow for the drip x

They didn’t check me over☹️ just checked if it was my waters on my pad and confirmed it was. Swabbed me for infection and everything’s fine. I do think they would have kept me in but the Labour ward was absolutely full! Hoping I go into Labour naturally myself through tonight. I’m petrified of the drip as I’ve never had it before x
