Hi
my feeling of kicks have been in my stomach whole time. Then today I have literally only felt them in my pubic area and I am 31 weeks pregnant? Is this ok?

Don't want to scroll past - is the advice still to contact your maternity ward for low movement at 31 weeks? That might be the best thing to do if you are worried xx they may ask you to come in so they can check all is okay (not to panic you - I did this several times with my first and she is a big healthy girl now)

@Alwaystired2023 hiya
thank you for your reply, I have no idea I’ve not heard anything about low movements 😩 but I do feel worried about it as it’s not normal for the baby, could low movements possibly mean something ? Xxx

Hi OP.
Most likely all will be fine - however,
any changes and reduced movement should be checked out.
Ive been there and all was fine in the end, but it’s best to call and be checked. Don’t be fobbed off.

Do you mean low as in low in your pelvis or low as in less movement than usual?

Bc102 · 16/12/2023 21:21

@PostOfficeInTheCoop low in pelvis xxx

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and some of my baby kicks have been very low. I said to my midwife as I wasn’t concerned about reduced movement as I could still feel the baby. My midwife said it might just be based on where the baby was lying by she also had no concerns.

If you’re worried then a call to pregnancy triage might help you relax and feel reassured.

Go and get checked out, the advice I always got was better to waste your time than regret not going!

The midwives would always rather you be okay!

It’s most likely fine and possible that baby has changed positions, but I think at 31 weeks you’d probably feel if they did a drastic position change.
I know lots of people who went in for monitoring for reduced movements and by the time they got there the baby was kicking away like normal, but they were still monitored anyway. If you’re concerned about the pattern or feel of movements then go get checked. Even if it turns up that baby is just laying differently now, at least you’ll know what position they’re now in.
