I have a fever of 38.2, on hold with the Dr. I'm 5 weeks. I'm in 2 minds about taking paracetamol, would really appreciate some advice and reassurance.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have you got any other symptoms?

Take two paracetamol and keep your fluids up.

Just take some paracetamol and have a chill. It happens. Nothing to be done other than rest, take paracetamol.

Take paracetamol, just not ibuprofen. I probably wouldn't even call GP, might mention it to the midwife at the booking appointment. It's only a very mild fever at 38.2. I had a fever at around 5-8 weeks too, then COVID (no fever) a few weeks after that and my baby was fine and born healthy.

Thanks everyone. I caught it from my daughter, I think it's the flu. Cough, sore throat, runny nose and general aches and pains. Just came on suddenly a few hours ago.
