Is this pain normal?

I’m 23 weeks pregnant, for the last couple of days have been getting more pains around my groin and between my legs. It’s not internal pain it feels more muscular and it worse when I’m walking or roll over in bed. It sort of feels like I’ve been riding a bike! Wondering if this is normal or a sign something is wrong? I’m not seeing my midwife for a couple of weeks and she’s difficult to get hold of as she only works 1 day per week!

Sounds like spd or pgp or whatever they call it these days. I had it around that gestation I'd just message your midwife and mention it - mine referred me to physio

I posted almost the exact same thing when I was at the same stage!
It definitely sounds like PGP to me :( I'm 33 weeks now and the pain at night is excruciating!

If you google PGP exercises, NHS sources are available and hopefully this helps. There are lots of tips out there too of how to reduce the symptoms (though I can't say any have worked particularly well for me!)

The good news is that this apparently resolved automatically after giving birth :)

Oh god I cringed just reading your post. Rolling over in bed was the worst 😩 Sounds like pelvis girdle pain. You should be able to access physio (either via your midwife or self/referral depending on how it works in your area).

Have a little google as well - there are lots of tips online to help. And it does go as soon as the baby's out!
