Gallbladder removed but gallstones possible in pregnancy again?

Hi,

I’m just wondering if anyone can help. I developed gallstones during my first pregnancy and had my gallbladder removed (thankfully!) nearly a year after giving birth as I was having bad gallstone pain attacks.

At the time I didn’t think to ask the consultant about getting pregnant again and whether I was at risk of developing gallstones again in my bile ducts. It seems that really rarely you can develop gallstones without a gallbladder (but that’s just from a google search!)

Anyway just wondering if anyone knows about this! Thanks so much

I have 0 pain initially but had 1 episode PP had a baby again and had worse ICP and 4 weeks PP had a Gallstone attack that was unbearable.
I had no idea you can get gallstones in the duct!
