Hi all,
im currently pregnant 8w6d with twins from IVF cycle abroad.
it seems we going for a high risk pregnancy as I have a hematoma and drs here are concerned about the cervical lining getting thin later in the pregnancy.
My question is how was your experience with monitoring during high risk/ twin pregnancies.
I just self referred myself to St. Mary’s clinic in Manchester.
will be traveling back to uk soon although kind of worried about monitoring and scans etc.

Any advise/ stories are welcome:)

I have twins whom are now 18 months old. And in my previous pregnancy I had pre eclampsia and OC. My twins are identical and shared 1 placenta (which is higher risk). From 16 weeks I saw a consultant and had a scan every 10-14 days. Basically spent most of a day per fornight in hospital being checked. These appointments were carried out in a twin speciality unit. In addition to this I had a community midwife whom did the normal community appointments. So I had a lot of monitoring. Any specific questions?

@Donimo thank you for sharing🩵i much appreciate it. 10-15 days is great monitoring!
i haven’t got specific questions as yet as im not sure what to expect tbh🤭
may I ask you to which week did you made it with twins and was it a natural birth or a c section?

My girls were born at 33 weeks via an emergency c section. They were planned to be a section at 36 weeks (with identical twins they dont let you go further than 36 weeks). I was planning a section as my older daughter was born via emergency section. They decided to come a little earlier though! They had around 3 weeks in special care but are now normal troublesome toddlers!
