Went for an early scan expecting to be about 7 and half weeks. Sac was seen but I’m only measuring 5 weeks so obv can’t see a heartbeat. I honestly don’t get this as last time I had sex was 6th November. Any advice/anyone been through this?

I want to share my experience with this which wasn’t very positive but it might help you.

During my last pregnancy I went for a scan at 8+3 and they told me baby was measuring 6+5 so 11/12 days out. I thought it was odd as the dates didn’t add up but they reassured me it was normal for this to happen so I put it to the back of my mind. Long story…I ended up having a MMC and discovered at 12+1 baby died at 7W so literally days after I had my scan.

I wish the sonographer at the time had prepared me by saying how far behind I was compared to where I should be as it wasn’t just a few days but almost 2 weeks. I would have gone for another scan a week or so later and have found out much sooner. So that might be something you consider doing?

I really hope it all works out for you xx
