39+4 - extremely tearful

Hi everyone, currently 39+4 and whilst happy and grateful to be so close to meeting my baby I've also been feeling extremely tearful and emotional for no real reason over the last couple of days. My partner has been absolutely amazing but I'm not sleeping well and have a terrible cough/cold which probably isn't helping things.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this?! Rationally I know it's just hormonal and I want to enjoy the last bit of pregnancy but I'm struggling...

@mushroom28 think of them as happy tears that soon your have your bundle of joy in your arms

Shorter day time light, hormones, lack of sleep, fatigue and a sense of heaviness, plus almost but not quite being at the end of your pregnancy (fed up?) are affecting you. It’ll soon change and be so exciting when you have your baby in your arms.

I felt like this one evening when I was 40+5, 6 hours later I woke up in labour!

It’s likely due to an increase in hormones caused by your body gearing up for labour so a good sign

I sobbed for no reason the night before I went into labour with my first, it was hormone changes
