Hi. Long time lurker here, New to posting though

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and I'm currently a nervous wreck. This I'm my first ever pregnancy and me and my partner both couldn't be happier.

I went for a private scan a week ago and saw a healthy heartbeat however was told that I was actually only 6 weeks not 7 ( I'm now 7) this was the first thing that made me nervous but was reassured by the sonogropher that there was numerous reasons that could be and wasn't a cause for concern.

Then yesterday I went to the bathroom and noticed a thick jelly like discharge when I wiped, This has put me into absolute panic mode and I'm trying to calm myself down, the epau has told me to monitor it and it does seem to have been a one off as there has been no more discharge since yesterday morning when this happened.

Has anyone else had anything like this and did it turn out ok?

Thanks for any reasuurance or support

Sorry you’re going through this, sadly nothing most people will say will reassure you, I know this from experience. The best thing to do is to try keep yourself busy and when you can, try relax. I know everytime you go to the toilet you’ll double check, I still do now and I’m nearly in my third trimester.

It’s good you phoned Epu, sadly they’re right, you just need to keep an eye on it and hopefully that was a one off. If you have any heavy bleeding or painful cramps then please phone them back.

I had spotting and pink/ brown tinged discharge with my pregnancy. It was on and off from 6-8 weeks. I had an nhs scan to check at 6 weeks and seen a healthy heartbeat. Nhs wouldn’t scan me again at 8 weeks so I booked a private scan and again saw a heart beat. Could you maybe book another private scan for a couple of weeks time?

Try not to worry about the 6-7 week sizing. The nhs doesn’t scan until 12 weeks because the size of the baby can change quickly before then.

Sorry my post wasn’t too helpful. Hopefully someone else can come along with more advice.
