32 weeks and weird pressure in bladder

Has anyone else had this? For the past week or so I have had this really intense feeling of pressure in my bladder that comes and goes. Also seem to be urinating frequently, and somewhat uncomfortably, but not much comes out. There is a sort of painful deflated feeling in my bladder after I go.

Can this be related to the baba's position? I doubt it's cystitis because my urine test a week ago was clear and in any case I have been on antibiotics for 2 weeks to combat an evil sinus infection that won't seem to die. I am just wondering if there is anything i can do for this because it is now interfering with my sleep quite a bit and as I am trying to recover from this illness I need all the rest I can get. Any advice appreciated!!!

Yes, I had this, read the entire works of Sherlock Holmes on the loo in the last few weeks.
Baby's head will be directly on the bladder.
If you are worried see a midwife who will probably say (as mine did) "ooh, she's VERY low down isn't she?"
You can buy these things called a sacrum belt (very wide) that you put under the bump which I used which hoik the baby up slightly and relieve pressure on the sacrum, I got mine from my physio as they are also given for sports injuries.

I Know what a pain having to run to the loo every ten mins! What I found during my two pregnancies that in the first trimester I had the same feelings and again towards the end of the pregnancy but as silly as it sound what helped me was when trying to empty my bladder a rocking motion side to side to ensure that a empty bladder was achieved. Give it a ROCK!

I had this, was in hospital for 2 nights but they couldn't confirm for sure I had a uti. Another 2 weeks passed with continuing symptoms then I thought I was in labour so went to get checked out and lo and behold I had a uti. Antibiotics cleared it within 3 days and ds was born 5 days later. It could be that you were on the verge of showing as having a uti (that's what Ia ssume happened to me). I'd get it checked again- not all abs work for the same symptoms so those you're taking might be totally ineffective for utis.
FWIW, because ds was born before the end of my ab course I didn't finish it (had c section, inhospital for a while and loads of other drugs to remember to take!) and now 3 weeks post birth the uti has resurfaced with a vengeance so well worth getting it checked!

OK - many thanks for all these thoughts. I will go to the doctor and get the urine checked again just to be sure, look into the sacrum belt (which may help my very sore sacrum too methinks) and try the rocking! Can't wait for the baby to come out...
