I’m just shy of 12 weeks, it’s been four years since I last did this. Please can someone tell me I will feel better after next week, sickness not even too bad - can’t complain - just so beyond fed up of feeling gross dizzy exhausted and anxious that it seems beyond reason and maybe chemical. I want to be grateful and joyful but feel like a black hole, ratty with kids snappy with husband, counting down the minutes when at work.. This is normal first trimester right? Remind me on please somebody.

im new on here and no idea if this is the appropriate place to dump hormones.

Sorry you are feeling this way! Particularly the anxious part. I felt so much anxiety in my first pregnancy, and I really regret not having seen a therapist earlier.

Because you are pregnant, you normally would be prioritised for mental health support from the NHS (if it's something that might help). I obviously don't know how bad you might feel, but if it were me this is something I'd look into / did look into with DD1.

I'm pregnant with baby number 2, and am currently going to CBT each week and it is making a huge difference just knowing that there is someone I can sound off to every week. Really wished I'd done this sooner.

It is a HARD TIME especially when you already have kids to look after. I'm feeling gross too, as you say - it is tough. Working during the day makes it harder as there isn't much time to do 'healthy' things like exercise, make balanced meals etc.

Wishing you the best, and this too shall pass.

@DisneyLady1 Thankyou so much for your reply just having a really hopeless day. My midwife did mention the mental health stuff and seemed more concerned about my anxiety than me, perhaps this is something I should go back to looking at a little bit more, at the time I just thought that’s another thing I don’t have time for lol. Thankyou.

Of course @Tryingtomother it can feel like just another thing to add to the list! I've needed to put my DD in nursery for a few more hours so that I can make the appointments, and of course feel a bit guilty about that. But it isn't forever, and I'm no longer holding back the tears/stress each day because of it - so for me it was definitely worth the time.

Hope you feel better soon.
