Growth scan advice please

So had a growth scan today as from 28-34 week appt, growth went down on chart with community midwife measuring my
bump

Background, my 1st DC was 9lb 5oz and 4 days early. So big baby for gestation meaning I was suprised to be referred for a growth scan due to worries DC2 may be running small?

we went, she measured etc and she mentioned that baby looks fine all on track and will probably be the same weight if not bigger than DC1

now I’ve heard lots of things, that this is true, that this theory isn’t true etc. I’ve been spoken to about an ELCS and I’m now heavily considering because I’m nervous at the thought of trying to give birth to a bigger baby than 9lb 5oz!!

so anyone whos had growth scans , are they accurate or off? I’m a bit up in the air

They were fairly accurate for me. Had a scan at 38 weeks with DD1 they said she was 6lbs 1oz. She was actually 6lbs 1oz bang on when born at 40+2.

With DD2 had a scan at 39 weeks they said she was 6lbs 9. She was born at 39+2 at 6lbs 3ozs.

The bump measurements were always off though I found x

Hey had growth scans with my second, my twins and now this one (i have small babies apparently) i have found they are generally a bit smaller than predicted on the scan, your midwife/sonographer should have told you it can actually be 500g (1lb) either way, it is a rough estimate, with my twins they were predicted to be 5lb+ each they were born at 4lb7 and 4lb9, my second was predicted 7lb born 8 days late at 6lb8 and this one is predicted 7lb+…. Will let you know haha x

If you want i can post her scan -weeks and est weight so you can try compare and get a rough estimate, i have been comparing her scans with my seconds each time and im guessing she will be a bit bigger as her scans are coming at a couple oz bigger than his x
