Hey everyone so had 1 bleed at 6 weeks. No bleeding since then. Found a hematoma at early scan .... still there and grown at 12 week.
Lady that scanned me said shes 99% sure it will be fine and wont wffect pregnancy and they said its very good im not bleeding with it.

I'm very anxious in this pregnancy so they offered me a scan at 16 weeks which is on monday.

I'm so nervous it will still be there or would have got bigger 😭 has anyone had similar experience with good outcome?

Yes! I had a huge bleed at 8/9 weeks due to a hematoma, which eventually seemed to be reabsorbed and the rest of the pregnancy was uncomplicated.

Best of luck to you!

Had a hematoma with my second that was picked up at 13 weeks after heavy bleeding and it was 6cm. Bled on and off until 18 weeks and it was fully resolved by our 20 week scan. Gave birth to a 8lb 13oz boy 🥰

Yep I bled from 6 weeks til around 12 and it didn't cause any other problems (other than making me an anxious wreck!)

It is an anxious time but plenty of rest and water will be your friend!

Thankyou for your positive stories! Making me feel less anxious xx

Same here! A couple of hematoma discovered via my 6 week scan. I had a bit of spotting and was l worried at the time, but learned it is very common and everything progressed just fine in the end.

I had one, discovered when I had a big bleed at 11 weeks. I carried on bleeding off and on until after 20 weeks then it stopped. Baby was fine.

I've had one in my last 3 pregnancies I don't know what causes them. But other than panic it's always been okay.

Similar here! Had bleed at 6 weeks, discovered it was haemotoma which went away on its own and all was well!

Bun14 · 07/12/2023 22:38

I had a big bleed around the same time as you. They found the haemotoma and said that it would eventually shrink on its own. I had bleeding for a few weeks after but not as heavy, and it did shrink and the bleeding stopped. Pregnancy was fine from then on and my 2 month old is currently asleep next to me.

Outcomes are mixed - others had SCH throughout pregnancy and have had healthy children. I had 2 pregnancies, both with SCH and ended in MCs.

It's good they're monitoring. When you go for your next scan ask about the positioning of the haematoma.

I had a hematoma with my second. I had a bleed around 6 weeks and went for a scan and they found it. Apparently implantation can cause it, the force of the egg hitting the lining of the womb or whatever can basically cause like a blood blister. I had spontaneous bleeding probably 4-5 times until I was about 18 weeks maybe? Never enough to need a pad.. I'd just go to the toilet and be like oh I've been bleeding. And it just went eventually. She's a bright and healthy 2 year old :-)
