accurate gender?

I had a scan at 16+6 and when they did the scan we saw what looked like boy bits, everyone we showed the photos to said the same thing, now i’m starting to hear it might be umbilical cord or swollen girl parts, baby was facing completely away from us so it’s not a potty shot, literally showing their backside to us, i have my morph scan in 7 days, what do you guys think?

I really don’t think it’s clear enough to say either way, you need a clear potty shot

Did the sonographer say it was a boy and point out the parts? Surely they’d know the difference between a cord and male parts?

The person who did a scan actually doesn’t know how to read the boy/girl bits since he wasn’t a sonographer just a doctor

Looks like a boy and not umbilical cord to me but you could get another scan to double check.

Also it looks like there's a man with a fringe and sunglasses in your photo 😂

I spotted the fellow with sunglasses as well

I can't pick either one because I can't see any bits in this photo. My son was 100% obvious, no potty shot. He was pike with bits floating around. I wouldn't hang my hat on this image.

It's sex. Gender is the social construct, sex is the biological part such as whether your baby is male or female.
