Hi Everyone :)

I found out I was pregnant 29th November (last period 29th October). I tested and it was very very faint line. I did another test and it was noticeably darker line. Then i did a digital on 2nd December and was showing Pregnant 2-3 weeks.

I had some weird brown discharge on Friday 01st December in the afternoon, thought nothing of it really was only slight. The later on I had some very light pink tinge/shine to the tissue with some clear discharge then nothing. Nothing all day Saturday 2nd and had the positive digital that day. I had some light pink again 3rd December afternoon and then nothing. Today had some brown discharge again slightly, and then some mild pink tinge again on the tissue but now again nothing. Pregnancy test digital again today showed Pregnant 2-3 weeks. I should be 5 weeks today based on last period but i know the first 2 weeks of that you aren't really pregnant but thats just how it goes etc.

Should i be worried? I thought miscarriages continued by starting lighter then getting red and darker resembling similar to a period?

Any information would be helpful. I had a chemical pregnancy in December last year so just a little worried. It isn't my first i have 2 other children, but still worries you all the same. I never had no implantation bleeding with my other 2 children and pregnancies.

Thanks :)

I had some Spotting with my pregnancy. I phoned Epu when I was roughly 5 weeks and they said there was sadly nothing I or them could do and to just wait it out and see what happens. They said if it became red, heavier or I was having a lot of pain then to contact them again. If it also continued past a week to contact and they would see me from 6 weeks.

It felt like the longest week of my life were I had on and off spotting so had a scan just after 6 weeks and seen a flicker of a heart beat. I then had spotting on and off until 8/ 9 weeks. All of which was incredibly nerve wracking as it was so different from my first pregnancy too. I was told there was no reason for the blood, it could have been implantation or it could have just been old blood working it’s way through.

I’m not overly sure on digital tests as I’ve been told different things. With my first pregnancy I went from 1-3, 2-3 and then 3+ all in the space of 5 days where as my second pregnancy it was all over 6 weeks. The gp said it works on hcg and sometimes it rises faster with some pregnancies than others.

@Hiddenvoice thankyou for this! i never bled the first 2 pregnancies so thats why i was concerned but i also know all pregnancies are different. I also know what a miscarriage is like so i was aware of what to look out for. When i had my chemical pregnancy it went from light to heavy pretty rapidly within a day. and then i stopped bleeding a couple of days later... this feels different. It wasn't consistent and wasn't continued so it felt strange. I had 2 lots of brown / clear discharge the brown came first. then the pinky bit came an hour or so later. then nothing. then noticed brown again a couple of days later and then again pinky. I am still getting pregnancy symptoms such a sore breasts and the odd wave of sickness / tummy ache. It's so hard to tell. I did contact the midwife who booked my first appointment for the 19th December, but she just said it if was continuous to call 111 and they will refer to EPU. But it has stopped now so feel like i would be wasting peoples time.

Digitals I have to be honest i NEVER used in my first 2 pregnancies. I only ever used in this one and thats because they only offer clearblue mainly now and shop branded ones. I used First Response with both my children's pregnancies and i would have preferred that this time around because it was what i was so used to and it being pink dye aswell. Just don't seem to sell them anymore. Digitals also confuse me because NHS goes from last period and thats how GPs / Midwives calculate your pregnancies, yet clearblue dates are from conception. so im showing 2-3 weeks still on digital that i took yesterday and on the NHS thats showing at 4-5 weeks. I guess it also depends on what day you take the test and your HGC levels, i could take another one day and it show 3+ because its a new day and tick over into another week. I was tempted to book a private scan but they are expensive and it's christmas coming up and it's just not ideal this time of year. I may just have to wait and see if there's any more bleeding and then go from there but so far theres only been 2/3 scattered days of the odd time its happened. So hopefully thats it now.

Thanks for jumping on the post lovely and sharing your experience with me! x
