5 weeks pregnant, is it going wrong?

I’m 5 weeks pregnant, I’ve been so excited & happier than I’ve been in a long while this week. We’ve had losses & 3 rounds of unsuccessful IVF.
Ive had symptoms but now they’re less or maybe gone? Coming & going? Mild spotting at 4 weeks then stopped.
my pregnancy test this afternoon was only faint. Surely it should be strong for 5 weeks?
im so worried, I think im grieving already.

Oh honey, didn’t want to read and run. I know how much pain you are in.

Symptoms come and go, so don’t read into that too much.

In a similar situation I was told to take scans over the next few days and see if you get a negative result.

if you don’t get a negative test I’d book in for a viability scan with your nearest EPU, it’s the only way of knowing exactly what is going on. Be kind to yourself x

I was convinced I am going to mc again when I felt less symptoms but all was fine so you really don't know until it happens if it happens. I know it's difficult to take it day by day after previous losses but that's all you can do. Good luck!

@WhatcomesafteraRainbow
I know nobody can really be of any help as nobody can tell you whats going to happen. It may be good news and it may not and I don't want to give you false hope but my tests were always faint up until 5-6 weeks . So much so I had a hcg blood test as I thought it wasn't progressing and I was having another loss. My lines with last pregnancy didn't get any stronger. All my symptoms completely faded around week 5 and I was certain I'd lost the baby. My hcg came back in normal range 453 but they wouldn't do a 48hr test to compare so I'd pretty much accepted the worst. My lines did get a bit darker but I certainly haven't had really strong lines. My recent test done just before 7 weeks was 8000 something. I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. I had my scan on Thursday and saw the heart beating. Other than tiredness still have zero symptoms so for me lines didn't really help and all it did was give me bad, like seriously bad anxiety

@WhatcomesafteraRainbow by the way was this baby conceived via ivf or naturally? If via ivf they should be offering you an early scan.
My baby is an ivf baby and and they should be bringing you in around week 7 or 8

@MoonIightDreamer im glad it’s ok for you & your baby is doing well. It’s given me hope to read what you’ve said. I explained to my husband & he said at the present moment still pregnant & just hold onto that.
we had late miscarriage, early miscarriage then 4 rounds ivf all negative. Then pregnant on research trial. Im just so desperate for one healthy baby.

In all of my pregnancies, the nausea stopped completely at about 3 weeks. Every one of those pregnancies ended at about 3 weeks. Conversely, you can have symptoms disappear for months and have a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. Everyone's different and every pregnancy is different. I hope for your pregnancy to be healthy and uneventful xx

Can you get your bloods done. My daughter is 6 weeke pregnant. Defo dates as ivf. Her hcg is just under 1500 so a bit low and they saw no fetal pole at scan and said her sac was small for dates. They will scan her next week but it’s not looking good. She said all her symptoms have gone. We are preparing for the worst. It was her first round of ivf and she got 3 eggs but only one viable embryo so we have none on freeze so have to go again. It’s so draining.
