37weeks baby measuring from the 90th percentile to 50th

Has this happened to anyone and what was the outcome? Got a growth scan tomorrow.

On the chart its dropped from 90th to 50th

Want to know how accurate and the outcome if anyone has experienced this

so your baby has already dropped from 90th to 50th and you have Another scan tomorrow to take another set measurements and check the size?
correct?

in this instance I would be carefully tracking babies movements each day and be requesting an ELCS at 38 or 39 weeks.
(this happened to a cousin and her placenta was failing she made 100% the right choice)

Yeah from the last measurements at 34 weeks. This is just bump measurements. It's my first growth scan tomorrow. Yeah definitely keeping track of movements. They haven't changed.

I know bump measurements aren't very accurate. With my son he was measuring ahead and they weren't too far off with his weight.

Bump measurements aren't all that accurate. The growth scan should give you a better idea. Saying that I had a growth scan at 32 weeks and was 80th centile and 34 weeks was 50th centile. They suspect the 32 week one wasn't accurate because all other scans had been around 50th.

cant help but you don’t need to keep bumping every 30 mins

Wait so it’s gone up or down in weight? Mine went up a lot and growth scan said big, but often very inaccurate.

Please keep a close eye and ask for 2nd/3rd opinion and speak to consultant. I had this and baby dropped from 50th to under 2nd from 32 to 37 weeks. I kept saying you're measuring my bump and it's not growing to the midwives. Kept being told not to worry. I asked for induction at 37 weeks as I'd had a horrendous hyperemesis pregnancy and the consultant said no wait until 39 weeks. I kept having reduced movements from 30 weeks so was being monitored bi-weekly and ended up being rushed in with pre eclampsia at 38+0. Baby's heart rate dropped and had to be pulled out by having an episiotomy in the end. Thankfully he was OK but a tiny 5lbs 8oz.
With my next pregnancy I put my foot down and was induced at 38 weeks after baby also had dropped centiles and thankfully avoided preclampsia 2nd time round. Baby was 6lbs 7oz.

You know your baby and body best. Don't let anyone fob you off. Wishing you all the best OP 🫂❤️

The bump measurement has gone down. I will know if its accurate with the scan tomorrow

I hope your scan goes ok today. We had this baby dropped from 96th to 50th (bump measurements) to 10th and then back up to 50th (scans)from 28 - 36 weeks. Consultant was clear that the important thing was to keep monitoring movements and go in if you have any worries. She was born at 41 weeks on the 25th percentile in the end.

Thank you. Had a little leak this morning. And it's clear and my discharge has been white/creamy so will be mentioning that

@abbabbs1 @Mihijita scan went well. Estimated weight 7lb 6oz. Don't think she's going to be big. Felt a popping sensation so they reckon my cervix has come away from the membrane. Waters didn't go. Just have to keep an eye
