Cyclogest

Hi all,

I would call docs but it’s a Sunday. I’ve just done one does of my twice daily cyclogest and just had a really bad bout of diarrhoea straight after and some of the pessary fell out. Do I do another one? Sorry I know it’s TMI but I just wanted to see if anyone experienced similar!

You can do another if you want for sure, depends how much fell out I guess.

Heya,
My clinic recommended taking another cyclogest if for whatever reason the first one was ‘expelled’ before an hour of putting it in was up.

Ok thank you. Half of it fell out but I just didn’t want to do another one just in case it was a bit too much! Sorry for the TMI. X

Yes definitely re do it, somewhat hard to overdo it to be honest, especially if only doubling up one dose (it's a bloody pain lying flat for 20 mins isn't it!)

MamaAl27 · 03/12/2023 19:54

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl I done it and literally within 5 mins I had to run to the toilet. Some had fallen out then and had to reinsert it and then when I went to the toilet about half fell out! Literally a pain having to lay down and wait. Thank you for the advice, I would normally ring the EPU but they are closed! X

@MamaAl27 mine was vaginal but the same advice applies either way - if it falls out prior to 20min, do it again
