I'm 16 weeks pregnant, with my first I had a nice pregnancy bump.. you could tell I was pregnant. This time round.... it just looks like a small bit of bloat at the bottom.

Baby was fine at the scan and the midwife said yesterday babies heart and movements were normal from the Doppler.

But last night I saw a picture of this gestation with my first and it's thrown me!!!!

Your muscles are more slack second time around so it generally takes longer to show. Also maybe you’re bigger or baby is smaller. Or maybe you’re carrying differently - I didn’t show until after 20 weeks with my third and then was MASSIVE. It will be fine!

Yep, you’re just looser this time round.

Your scans will check the baby is growing as expected, focus on the scans, your overall health and of course baby movements once they start.

Discuss this concern with your midwife so you know they are aware and then let them reassure you.
