Very very faint line or am I imagining it?

Please, help me ladies as I’m driving myself mad unable to work this morning..

i must be 8-9 DPO and my expected period would be in 3-4 days.
I tested with second morning urine (silly, I know) and got a very very faint line on my clear blue.
I had an evap line once before and this one looks a bit different to me.. it came up within the first 2 minutes of testing and then faded away after an hour or so.

any thoughts everyone?
I really need to get back to work yet here I am! 😆

@LolaJ87 thank you for your answer, makes a lot of sense! My last pregnancy ended up in a missed miscarriage and I seem to be in disbelief and lots of worry this time as my doctors also told me my FSH levels were over 25 last month 🤪

Sometimes the body has a bit of a firesale on eggs when our hormone levels start to drop. What a lovely outcome for you! Fingers and toes crossed everything goes well ❤

That's a definite positive @Alina86!

Just an update for anyone who might be in a similar situation - got what looks like a proper line yesterday - what I believe to be 14dpo! Still getting cramps and backache that come and go and seem to worsen when I am sitting down. Went to see my doctor yesterday and he gave me some progesterone because my fsh levels were very high last month. I could do an early scan around 22 Dec but I’m thinking to postpone it until after Xmas just because I would drive myself crazy over Xmas if they didn’t see a heartbeat yet...

Congratulations lovely 🤍 If I was you I would hold off on an early scan until you’re around 7-8 weeks! That’s what I did on the advice of the clinic because they were saying there can always be some flexibility in terms of actual ovulation/fertilisation/implantation, if you go in as soon as you technically can at 6 weeks, there’s always a chance that you may not see anything as you could be earlier than you thought which obviously causes you to worry and actually it could just be that it’s too soon! They advised waiting until between 7 and 8 weeks because at that stage if there is a heart beat then they will see it, I had my early reassurance scan at 7+4 x

Congratulations ❤️

Thank you x
Between 7 and 8 weeks is Christmas time for me. I might book it for 27 December… although my symptoms have been on and off leaving me crazy worried…
I’ve been on progesterone for the last three days and haven’t noticed much difference, not sure if I was supposed to 😁

@Cincinnatus thank you so much.
Last Christmas was a very sad time for us, praying this Christmas time brings us good news of our healthy baby in the making xxx

Good luck! I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about symptoms right now, lots of people have next to no symptoms especially so early on. I was randomly sick one day and that prompted me to take a pregnancy test which was positive, but after that until I was about 9 weeks I genuinely barely had any symptoms! Now 21 weeks and 20 week scan shows a healthy baby girl growing quite happily- I’ve honestly had very few obvious “symptoms” throughout pregnancy, a bit of tiredness and sore nipples, occasional nausea/sickness. But she’s perfectly healthy and now kicking away inside! So please try not to over worry about symptoms coming and going, that can be totally normal! Xx

@Mrsttcno1 aw congratulations - a healthy baby that’s all we can ever ask for really!
thank you so much for your message, it’s reassuring to read your story. I go down the spiral of worry and overthinking. I really wish I didn’t but it’s v hard after the loss. I wish there was something to check how pregnancy is progressing in the early weeks!

I need some help, been trying to conceive since my stillbirth in August and no luck which is very upsetting and getting me down. Please can someone help me work out if this is a faint positive? Thank you

That's definitely a line! I don't get all the clear blue bashing on here. I've been pregnant five times and never had an issue!

Kbutcher93 · 30/01/2026 12:01

I think it is too but just worried I’m getting my hopes up. I’m currently 11dpo so thought it might have been more of a stronger line as it did with my last pregnancy which was my son but unfortunately I lost him at 38 weeks. I’ve only had one issue with a clear blue but that was my own fault for reading it after the time it said. Thank you for replying back to me.

I think the poster above you was replying to the person who started the thread because she mentions a clearblue test which yours isn’t. You’ve posted on an old thread from years ago so people will assume it’s new and reply to the OP post. It’s best to start your own thread to get replies to you. Sorry about that.
