What does stomach feel like in early pregnancy?

I know this sounds like a weird question and this is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure how it's supposed to be. My lower stomach feels a bit uncomfortable. It definitely feels like there is something there and I can feel it more when I'm bending. I try to limit movement and just relaxed otherwise I start to feel more uncomfortable. Its sort of like cramps but not painful. Just uncomfortable and a little sore

@Mangobango first time pregnancy here, and also very early!
I'm having exactly the same thing. I have looked up various things and apparently it’s completely normal. I’ve downloaded the ’what to expect’ app and there’s so much info on there week by week and it’s very interesting!
best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy 🫶🏼

I’ve been a bit crampy in the early weeks of both my pregnancies. I also started being sick before a test would show as positive both times though so assumed it had something to do with that. You definitely get some weird early symptoms though .

It does feel weird, you’re not imagining it, although you probably wouldn’t pay much attention to it if you didn’t know you were pregnant. Your body is producing lots of hormones in preparation for stretching muscles etc as the baby grows. Mild cramps are fairly common.

I had the same. It's most likely bloating, or maybe your bowels or bladder, as the baby is behind the pelvic bone currently and not in your abdomen. The uterus sits below the knicker line until around 12 ish weeks when it rises.

The progesterone causes a whole host of symptoms, including slowing down digestion and stimulating your bladder.

Bloating is extremely common and can be pretty bad in the 1st trimester for some. It was very uncomfortable for me.

Bowel cramps are also common due to the digestion changes.

For me I felt very bloated. We went to a fancy hotel for the weekend when I was 8 weeks and it was the biggest waste of money ever. I was wearing normal clothes but was so uncomfortable! Literally felt like a big ball of gas 😂 it did eventually pass after 12-14 weeks I’d say, the start is by far the worst bit!
