40+5 weeks help! Pains

Hi,

I'm 40+5 weeks today. Had period like pains since 5am this morning, been on and off all day not really regular. Had a show about 5pm this evening, and taken some paracetamol. Period like pains still on and off, becoming a bit more intense now. Usually when I or sit up or walk about mainly. I can tell I'm in the early stages but no contractions yet or is this how they start?

That’s how they start, they just get more intense and closer together.

Thought so. They've got more intense for sure. She's on the move, which is making them more painful

Sounds like it won't be long now, very exciting. If you start to feel like you need a poo or get back pain you're probably in labour if you're not already. Baths helped me with this part. Try relaxing as you don't know how long it will be from here and it's easy to get worn out with excitement and anticipation along with feeling uncomfortable.
Hope you have a nice and easy birth 🤞

Congratulations OP - you are so lucky-,I've ended up being induced 3 times and at no point ever did it feel like heavy period pains!!

Trust me. That wasn't the half of it in the end, I begged for an epidural 😂

@bronzedproseccolover had one only for the 3rd (late 90s) as other 2 boys much older (born in the 80s) and it wasn't as common.

Blimey the difference was unbelievable!!
