Bleeding at 8 weeks

Hi, I’m currently around 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was so happy when I found out but then on Sunday night (3 days ago) I wiped after a poo (sorry tmi) and had some vaginal bleeding. It was only on wiping and has been on and off since. I rang the EPU on Monday morning and was advised to keep an eye on things for 48 hours but call in the meantime if it got worse. It hasn’t got worse but I am still seeing red or light pink sometimes when wiping. I’ve been really anxious over it and taken a pregnancy test each morning since, which I know sounds ridiculous! I called them back today and they have booked me in for Friday. I had some more red on the tissue after another number two today. It’s also made me really anxious to go to the toilet which isn’t helping. Sorry for waffling but I just wondered if any else had experienced this? Trying to reassure myself so I can try to get some sleep over the next two days. Thank you!

Is there any chance you’ve got piles? Especially as you’ve mentioned it’s happened after you’ve pooped.

I had exactly this- except mine was quite severe bleeding. It lasted for days/weeks and it was terrifying- clots and all sorts. I’m now on week 13 and all was okay, so try not to worry too much.

A lot of people bleed in early pregnancy. Mine was a subchorionic Hematoma but there are lots of things that cause it.

I have everything crossed for you!

Are you absolutely sure its vaginal bleeding? Piles are more likely in pregnancy and they can bleed.

It's also not uncommon for the act of bearing down to poop to cause light vaginal bleeding.

It's likely nothing to worry about, light bleeding in early pregnancy is more common than you'd think, but the scan should help to reassure you.

thanks for the replies! I’m 100% sure it’s vaginal so don’t think it’s piles - I wish it was at this point😣thanks @LondonGirl1992 it helps to hear! I’m hoping it’s something similar
