I’m 40+1 today and honestly so fed up being pregnant. I have been off work since 34 weeks due to having a very heavy labour job and I have done everything I can to prepare for baby so it’s just a waiting game at this point.
anyone else past their due date and waiting very impatiently for their baby?

Wanted to send sympathies, my second was 6 days late, my sort was a week early so wasn't expecting to go late the second time. I was sooooooo frustrated.

It’s my due date tomorrow and feel in a similar position! I’ve tried EVERYTHING! A failed sweep put me really down a week ago have another in the morning so praying for good news! Definitely go for one if you haven’t already x

Yep, 40+9 today. Went for a sweep yesterday and they said there was very little progress since my last sweep on Friday. Sitting here doing figure 8's on my stupid ball as we speak, can't wait to ship this ball off to the charity shop when the baby comes.

@TTC0123 I had a failed sweep last week, wasn’t even a little bit dilated and this is my second baby so would have expected some progress personally. I have another sweep in the morning and if there’s no change I might have a breakdown 😅 my back is so sore and baby movements are really startig to kick my butt now

Aww bless you, this is also my second pregnancy so I feel exactly the same.. no progress at all makes no sense does it! I did go to 42 weeks with my first but assumed second babies come quicker!! Doesn’t seem that way currently! Fingers crossed for both of our sweeps in the morning, makes it harder to stay calm and relaxed with a toddler at home too!!

@TTC0123 Hopefully you got on well with your sweep. My inductions has been booked for next week as my trust don’t let you go over 41 weeks anymore. Praying my sweep is successful as an induction means my water birth goes right out the window

You always have control over your birth if there are no medical reasons why you can’t go longer hopefully you can push a little more! Due dates are such estimates anyway aren’t they! Seems a shame for your mindset to be put back on the birth you’d like because of ‘dates’ I hope you’re doing ok stay positive! I had a successful sweep a couple of hours ago where my Cervix was short soft and 1cm dilated so on my ball and walking the dog all day, sex and spicy curry and using my tens machine on the cards for tonight 🤞🏽

Successful sweep this morning but still not having any signs of baby arriving anytime soon

I’m still pregnant over here 😢 anyone else?
40+4 and have just about tried everything!

Secondtimemummyworries · 27/11/2023 11:06

@TTC0123 ive been up all night with contractions, went into MLU and I was still only 1-2cm dilated so no progress since my sweep on Thursday. Getting induced today

Oh bless you I hope you’re feeling ok, you’ll have your baby in no time if you’re being induced at least it’s getting things moving and you aren’t in limbo! Good luck for the next day or so x
