6 Weeks Pregnant and spotting/bleeding for one week - Pictures included

Hi, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have been spotting everyday for a week. I informed my doctor on day 1 of spotting and was able to get an ultrasound on day 2 of spotting. They were able to rule out ectopic pregnancy and let me know some spotting is normal so long as it’s not heavy (enough to fill a pad) or accompanied with severe cramping. Thankfully neither of those things have happened but the spotting hasn’t stopped and it’s actually gotten heavier and more red. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, were you able to carry your baby to full term or does this sound like a miscarriage beginning?

It's hard to know OP. I had very heavy spotting at 10 weeks and all was okay but also had miscarriages where there was less blood. There is a saying that bright red blood is not a good sign.

Hope you can ride this out - and that all will be okay.

I had this , all the way through first trimester then big bleeds into the second. It finally stopped around 25/26 weeks and I am 28 weeks now.
It is really worrying and stressful but can be ok X

I had this from the start. Thought on month one it was my period. I lost my baby at 13 weeks sadly. Possible peeling placenta from the start.

Hello! Did you have any updates? I am also 6 weeks pregnant and has started having spotting. No pain, cramping or heavy bleeding but hasn’t stopped for 3 days. Nothing even touches the pad but I feel like this could be start of something. The last picture with very small amount has been today.

Hey, yes! Firstly, I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. I understand how stressful it is. I spotted for about 7-10 days and it just recently stopped. I just had an ultrasound and we were able to hear the heartbeat and confirm everything looks good. They assured me that sometimes this just happens and may be a sign of a sensitive cervix which is harmless. If you ever experience spotting after sex or intense exercise this may also be the case for you. They also assured me that it’s not a concern unless it’s enough to fill one pad, or if it’s accompanied with intense cramping or fever. I hope that helps and I hope your spotting goes away soon too!
