Hi guys,

39 weeks pregnant (first time full term pregnancy after previous baby loss).
Any tips for starting labour over the next week would be great 😬 I haven’t been drinking raspberry tea..
Also I’ve really struggled with colostrum harvesting.. is it just a bit too early?!
I’m just really ready to welcome the little one into the world now!

Book a meal out / meeting with friends / beauty or hair appointment something that'd be inconvenient to miss by going into labour. It's a good a method as any and worked for me twice albeit not as a deliberate tactic.
Although what worked with my second was ordering a lovely inflatable hot tub (at 36 weeks) that was going to ease me through the heatwave as I started my mat leave at 38 weeks! DS arrived at 37 weeks before the bloody hot tub and I just got to look at it in its box for months.
Good luck with your baby whenever they arrive 😀

Lol, love @TheArtfulScreamer1 's suggestion.

Eating dates is supposed to be one of the few things suggested with an evidence base.

Not too early for colostrum harvesting.

Plan a day/date to shave your legs/any prep etc to look something less than a hairy hobbit. Labour will start the day before (my experience anyway) 😂

I also had one of those yoga balls. Did a lot!!! of bouncing in the days before. Not sure it helped to bring on labour but sure as hell made my back and hips feel better if anything. Good luck and before you know it, you'll be (me anyway) celebrating a two year olds b day and wondering where the heck the time has gone!

Sex! I was so fed by 37 weeks with my 4th that I convinced my husband to have sex. My waters broke the next day. It was either that or walking around the raf museum all day!
