Hi there,
I’m 26 weeks and so stressed about movements. The past couple of days they have felt so much lighter and as if baby is only moving when I prod them. I’ve woken up after a short sleep and feeling nothing at all. I’ve been lying here about an hour getting more and more stressed.
The issue is that I am in a completely different city to my registered hospital (and no way to get there at this time). Will the local hospital here see me? I can’t find any advice at all on what to do in this type of situation. Tia for any advice
x

@Golaz

Please if you have noticed a change in movement go straight to the hospital nearest to you.

They will put you on a monitor to check for you.

Please don't leave it

Yes go to any hospital you can get to . Good luck hope alls ok. It’s fine if it’s not in your own area. The important thing is to get checked out.

Just go to nearest hospital. You are probably ok but the recent thread where a poor lady lost her twins at 29 weeks was heartbreaking.🤞

Go to the nearest hospital. Don't delay for any reason. You cant take any chances here. Make it very clear what the situation is. Wishing you the best of luck Flowers

Has your midwife given you any numbers to call? I would do that first rather thsn pitching up at ED

Just go to the hospital.

It's Thursday morning, it's quietish, you'll be seen quickly. L&D is busy with the last of the Valentines babies but there's always someone who can check baby.

Hi all, thanks so much for your responses. Especially @Lovemykidywinks , you really motivated me to go. I called the local hospital and they said come in and were amazing. I was seen straight away. They listened with Doppler to baby and even did a bedside scan! and all looks well. The baby was actually moving a fair amount just I wasn’t feeling much/ the movements were so faint, I guess because I’m still early and baby has changed position. I was really relieved.

For anyone who might have a similar question in the future- I just wanted to follow up on this thread and say that you can ring a local hospital even if it’s not where you are registered 😊. Maybe not every hospital would be so helpful, i don’t know, but at least in my case there was no issue and they treated me like any other patient 🫶🏻
