Hiya, so I did 2 tests yesterday both postive, did one today after work (still in shock) waited for the pregnant to pop up and it said no pregnant (all clear blue tests). Is it possible the negative is wrong? I spoke to the doctor and she said "well looks like you was, and now arnt"
I'm not bleeding or anything. Boobs are sore and 3 days late. I'm just so confused and kinda upset now. I mentioned to the doctor about being at work and drinking lots of fluids today is that why it would come back negative but she said she's never heard of that happening. Opinions please. 😔 😟

That test line is very faint, especially given that you had a positive on a digital which are less sensitive. A positive digital should mean a very clear line on a “normal” test.

I would try a FRER in the morning, I’m sorry you’re going through this.

PinkRoses1245 · 16/11/2023 14:44

Agree with trying a FRER. And assuming you're actively trying, consider reducing caffeine going forward. I'm very surprised you were able to speak to a Doctor about this - I couldn't even speak to a Doctor when i was in the middle of having a miscarriage. Maybe you're not in the UK

I’m sorry that your doctor was blunt but it’s highly likely you did conceive but have had a very early loss, what is known as a chemical pregnancy. Women never even used to realise this was happening because sensitive tests were not available. This happened to me more than once, it’s disappointing when you got your hopes up.

Best of luck for the future.

TheShellBeach · 16/11/2023 16:22

I agree that this may well be a chemical pregnancy.

If it is, you'll start to bleed between weeks 4 - 5. So in a couple of days, probably.

As you're three days late, the lines on your tests should be very obvious, and they're not.

I'm still cross with your doctor for not handling this well, though. Sorry about this, OP. It's horrible.

Highland261012 · 16/11/2023 19:54

Thanks everyone. Not going to bother with another test. I'll just wait and see what happens now. If I've not got my monthly in a week. I'll test again. Thanks again xx

Just wanted to update you all and thank you all again for your support.
