Intense nausea

I’m 7 weeks pregnant, and have been feeling nauseous for a few weeks now, but overnight it has ramped up a gear. I can’t sleep, I can’t move, I feel like I’m going to vomit if I do anything. I’m eating dry cereal which normally helps but nothing is helping.

i have an 18 month old, I don’t ever remember the nausea being quite this debilitating with him. I currently work 3 days a week but am definitely going to take a sick day today, however I’m worried about taking too many sick days (mainly for financial reasons). This will be the first one I’ve taken, but I just worry that if the nausea is only going to get worse, then how am I meant to keep working when it is?

Feeling rough, any advice appreciated 😩😩😩

You poor thing, it's misery feeling so sick. Phone your GP first thing and ask to be put on medication, there are a few different options you can try and hopefully something will work to make you feel a bit better.

In terms of work you can only do what you can do. The financial hit is of course hard but go easy on yourself and take time off if you need it. Being pregnant and unwell is so hard without adding on the pressures of work and other children.

Agree with pp. Book yourself in to see the GP. You may have to trial some medication to see which one best suits you. The only thing that took the edge off for me a LITTLE was the Fox's sweets but of course you can only have so many of them! Good luck x
