High platelet count - any experiences?

My platelet count from the first midwife appointment has come back high.

It was 410 and they want to do a repeat test. I know up to 450 is considered normal for non-pregnant people but around 390 - 400 is the cut off for early pregnancy (here's a chart https://www.perinatology.com/Reference/Reference%20Ranges/Platelet%20Count.htm ) 😐

Has anyone had any experience with this? I found quite a few threads where people have posted about a higher count but no one has come back to say how things went!

Any info from personal or medical experience appreciated!!

Thought I'd try bumping this one more time. No one has had a high platelet count?

Worried because we lost our last pregnancy

Well I'll just answer my own question. The second count came back well within normal range, 358, so they are unconcerned. Possible I just wasn't hydrated enough on the first one.

Hope this is at least helpful to someone else searching for the same thing.

I only just saw this. I had a high platelet count both pregnancies. Two healthy babies. The only thing I’d say is make sure you take your blood thinning injections at the end if offered them, as it can cause you to be prone to clotting generally. I did have a pulmonary embolism after the 2nd pregnancy - all fine now but better avoided if you can.
