Bit of reassurance please - terrified - clear blue tests stuck at 1-2 weeks

Hi there,

My LMP was 03/10, my cycles are usually all over the place but the last 6 have been 30-31 days
This would put me at approx 5+3 days.

I got a positive on 31/10 and every day since.

Last Saturday (4th) I did a Clearblue date test at about 1am (got up for a wee in the middle of the night and thought it was about 6am) which came back 1-2 weeks.

I have had sore boobs since before I first tested and that had carried on, on and off. I’m tired and have an occasional wave of nausea this week.

The recurrent miscarriage clinic have me on aspirin, cyclogest and clexane.

I woke up from a nap yesterday and panicked as “didn’t feel pregnant”. I did another clear blue test at about 6pm last night and one at 6:30am this morning - both say 1-2 weeks.

It’s not good is it?
I am 40, almost 41 - I won’t survive this again.

I don't know how accurate these tests are. But if you have previous miscarriages can you go vist your local early pregnancy clinic to find out?

I know that feeling of panic well.

Please try to relax, I know it’s so much easier said than done but there are so many variables with the weeks indicator tests. It doesn’t necessarily mean that anything is wrong.

Are you having regular scans? I was under the recurrent miscarriage clinic (and also on cyclogest) and I was scanned every two weeks from 6 weeks pregnant just for reassurance.

LampLamp · 12/11/2023 07:29

I can have scans from 6 weeks which would be Thursday by my LMP.

I don’t know if I can cope with going back and forth to the same place of my last miscarriage, to have repeat bloods every 48 hours. It really impacts my mental health negatively.

I did also read somewhere (which of course I can’t find now) that PCOS throws off those dating clearblues and they aren’t accurate.

I feel like I’m bargaining.

Had a lot of cramping in my thighs today. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi @LampLamp I’m really sorry for your losses and how stressful this pregnancy must feel. How have you been getting on? I don’t know whether you had a scan or any further development since your last post, but my understanding of those CB tests is that they measure the pregnancy from the date of conception rather than LMP as traditionally pregnancies are dated. So in that case you would have been bang on. I’m hoping for you X
