I’m 11 weeks pregnant. Woke up feeling fluey today, just done a test I had from the cupboard and it’s glaring positive.

Do I need to be overly worried?
I’ve had it a few times before, last time was about 10 months ago.

so far just blocked nose, aching and a bit shivery

I think just make sure you keep your fever below a certain temperature (not sure what temperature that is exactly) by taking paracetamol following the instructions (not ibuprofen!).

Keep drinking plenty of fluids. Hope you get better soon x

I had it early this pregnancy, just needed to keep my temperature below 38 and stay hydrated. All has been fine x

I found out I had Covid one day and found out I was pregnant the next 🤣 only thing I had to do was stop taking lemsip/beechams. Just normal paracetamol and lots of fluids! Hope you’re well soon!

Thanks all. Currently feeling sorry for myself in bed hoping I don’t suffer too badly with it x

@Senso21 i hope you’re feeling brighter soon! I’ve been in the same boat this week, tested positive for Covid on Tuesday with really high fever and aches/shakes and then tested positive for pregnancy on the Wednesday!

luckily for me this bout of Covid, although was really rough, passed quickly within a few days so hopefully it’s a quick one for you too x

Thanks. I feel better now in the sense that the temperature and body aches have gone. So so congested now and feeling a bit out of breath today which is making me panic - can’t get through to midwives at the hospital either :(

glad yours passes quickly - what a double whammy testing positive for both at the same time🤗
