Perisac bleed shown on scan??

So I’m 10 weeks pregnant and had a scan today as part of a private NIPT test. All looked well with the baby, am measuring 11 weeks, everything looked perfect. At the end of the scan the sonography pointed out a black spot on the screen, outside of the baby’s sac but in the womb. He said it is a small bleed, and it could result in me having a bleed or could be reabsorbed. I asked if it was common and normal and he said they can happen and to get it checked again for shrink/growth at my nhs 12 week scan. Scan report reads:

A SMALL 6.3MLS PERISAC BLEED SEEN

Now I’m home I’ve had a little google and can’t seem to find anything about this? Is this normal? Has anyone else had this? Worrying a little now 😥

Sounds like a subchronic hematoma. They're quite common and not usually a concern. You may or may not bleed, nothing was picked up on my 12 week scan but I just had quite a big bleed at 16 weeks. They think this is what it is and baby is fine. The bleeding has stopped now. Try not to worry, at least you have a heads up incase you do start bleeding. I was absolutely terrified when I saw it as I had no idea!!! But all is well x

He did measure it and it calculated to be 6.3ml bleed so that reassured me that it’s not a lot of blood x

Hey ladies. Just hoping for some pst experience from anyone who has had a bleed show on their 12 week pregnancy scan. I ended up in A&E last week as I went to the toilet as was bleeding heavily (very mild cramping)… after examination my cervix was as confirmed as closed and I was sent for a emergency scan on Wednesday. They could not see a bleed and baby all looked fine. No bleeding since however I have started spotting within the last 24 hours… luckily my dating scan was booked in for today so I was able to mention it to the Sonographer/midwife. They said they could see a bleed inferior to the pregnancy sac. They’ve given me no further information or follow up scan… just booked me in for my 20 week anomaly scan. I’m so worried and anxious.

If it helps @Grace1yt I recently had a huge bleed and the scan, similar to yours, confirmed no issues and they didn't seem worried at all. It is very anxiety inducing, we have a private scan next week so maybe try book one of them so you don't have a long wait?
