TTC after a miscarriage

Hello

I have recently had confirmation that I am having a miscarriage. I've had a scan to confirm I've passed the sac / tissue but I am still experiencing the bleeding for now.

It took us 10 months to conceive this first time, some people may say that is not too long but honestly it had felt like forever. I have seen a lot of people say they got pregnant straight away after a miscarriage but I can't see that happening for us due to it taking us 10 months before.

How long did it take you to conceive after a miscarriage? And had it taken you a while the first time?

The sonographer told us to wait for my first period before TTC again as my lining will still be repairing, I've seen mixed messages about this. I am really wanting to TTC again as soon as possible.

Thank you xx

So sorry for your loss. I had a MMC at 13 weeks in May (baby stopped developing at 10 weeks). We wanted to TTC straight away also but I had retained products after medical management and bled for 6 weeks after. It took a couple of cycles for my period to regulate and we conceived on the third cycle. Now 16 weeks with second pregnancy. I took conceive plus fertility supplements and ovulation support the month that we conceived. I don’t know if this made any difference or not. Be kind to yourself during this time and try not to put too much pressure on it.

I had a chemical pregnancy, only saw it because I was using early tests before my period, otherwise I would have thought it was my normal period. I tested positive for about 3 days and then it tapered off and I started bleeding. The next month we conceived our now 8 month old! We were trying for about 8 months x

Thankyou
The ovulation support is a good idea, I may try this if mine don't regulate.
This gives me some hope ♥️

So sorry for your loss it’s absolutely horrible :(

I had a miscarriage at 6+3 beginning of September. Ovulated 15 days later and conceived, so pregnant again within a fortnight. I know this is very very lucky but it can happen, and I hope it does for you x

It took 7 months after my miscarriage. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant :) I know it's so so hard OP and it's easy for everyone to tell you to be patient.

I will advise however... Don't have sex until you have stopped bleeding. A lot of women give themselves serious infections having sex too soon after a d&c. It can even threaten future fertility. So make sure you're fully healed. Baby dust to you!!

Sorry for your loss. I've had 2 MMCs, after the first one me and my ex ended up separating so didn't try again (we were TTC for over 2 years). My second was this July just gone (conceived after TTC for 6 months), I didn't ovulate again before my period came back (had surgical management and my period returned 4 1/2 weeks after). Now onto cycle 4 of trying again, just to level expectations that it doesn't happen for everyone right away, and I've found that really hard to deal with emotionally, especially since I've had multiple friends conceive really quickly after a loss. I've not yet found a way to make the first day or 2 of each cycle less upsetting but I hope with time it'll get easier x

Hi @moosey89 we have 1 DD and had a MMC in April it took quite a while for things for settle , we had a chemical in july but since then nothing i’m due AF tomorrow i’m dreading it the disappointment and upset I feel is getting worse each time as i’m starting to think it’s never going to happen.

Hi, I had a miscarriage in March and haven't got pregnant since - 8 months now. It took 3 months the first time.

At the beginning I was desperate to get pregnant again asap but this month, although I was sad when AF arrived, I bounced back a little quicker.

Just be prepared that it may take some time, wishing you luck!
