14 weeks regular cramping

This morning I noticed what appeared to be some of the mucus plug when I went to the toilet and then all day I’ve had regular cramping, like every 10 minutes. I called my midwife not long after I noticed and she has referred me to EPU but they’re taking ages to contact me and every phone number I try they don’t pick up. I’m worrying so much just waiting about.
Has anyone else experienced similar and everything be ok?

Hi, I'm 17 weeks and I'm currently in the day unit waiting to be checked due to awful cramping. I was admitted overnight on Sunday due to bleeding which has now pretty much stopped but it's been such a worrying time. Just heard baby's heartbeat again though and all is fine! I suspect I may have an infection so just waiting to find out. As hard as it is try not to worry x

@Pennyroses sorry to hear of your experience! I’m glad you got to hear baby’s heartbeat 🥰 hopefully everything is ok for you x
In my trust you have to be at least 16 weeks to be able to go the assessment unit so I’m still having to go through early pregnancy unit, and honestly they are really not good. I’ve dealt with them when I had my miscarriage and also this pregnancy when I had bleeding early on. They had no empathy or compassion, and just told me things and sent me on my way without giving any advice. Also wrongly told me I was having a miscarriage when they had misread my hcg numbers. You would think my situation today would be somewhat urgent to be seen same day as I could have cervical incompetence and I don’t want to have another miscarriage. So hard to just sit about waiting and not worry 😞

Oh how annoying as you're so close to the cut off! I actually went at 14 weeks for blood tests as I'd been itching and I'm at risk of cholostasis. They didn't know what to do with me as mine is also 16 weeks at the day assessment unit but Epu wouldn't take me either as I was too far on for them! In the end say assessment did it so if you're that worried I'd maybe just turn up there a d explain the situation? Good luck x
