Had an early miscarriage in sept.

Had to avoid conception in oct as was having a ct scan re something else & couldn't be preg for it

Going to try again after this period ends

I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks in August 2016, followed by surgical management (in which my uterus was accidentally punctured and then repaired, but I don’t think that happens to most people!).

We didn’t try again for a while as I was starting a new job and needed to wait until I was eligible for maternity benefits, but I conceived again first try in Jan 2018 and had DD1, then same again for DD2 in Dec 2020. It all went really well for us after that first miscarriage and I think it’s a much more common story than people realise.

I’m sorry for your loss OP and best of luck for the future.

Hi! First of all I am sorry for your miscarriage, I know how devastating it is. I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks in May this year. It was my first ever pregnancy and at 41 years old. I then got pregnant again to my great surprise a couple of months later in July just after I turned 42. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. I don't know if this is true but some research say that you tend to be more fertile after a miscarriage so go for it!

Best of luck to you and hope you have your rainbow baby soon!

Hi OP
First of all, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
I had a MMC at the end of September/start of October 2020 (found out at 12 week scan in Sept, medical management a couple of days later in October). Can't remember when we officially started trying again, but I found out I was pregnant again in March 2021. Beautiful rainbow baby girl will be 2 at the end of this month.

All the best in your TTC journey :)

MMC at 9 weeks.
Went on to have 3 successful pregnancies.
Sorry for your loss.

@worldwidetravel2017 Hello!
Sorry to hear about your MC, i hope you are ok.
I had a MC at 6 weeks on 27/9/23.. got pregnant again within the first cycle. Currently really early and around 5 weeks pregnant, keeping everything crossed for this pregnancy to be successful

addictedtotheflats · 08/11/2023 15:44

Sorry about your miscarriage, I had a missed miscarriage in 2020, it was unplanned so we didn't end up trying again until earlier this year and conceived first month trying and currently 39 weeks pregnant. Best of luck

I’m so sorry, it’s horrible. I managed to carry a baby after four consecutive miscarriages so hope is out there!!

Hi, OP.

I am so sorry - it's heartbreaking. I had a MMC last November at 9 weeks. We didn't even try again until this June when I got pregnant on the first try. I am now 24 weeks pregnant.

Please, hang in there Flowers

Igglepiggleandhisboat · 09/11/2023 15:35

Sadly I had four miscarriages followed by two DC. I remember feeling like it would never happen to me. Sending you lots of luck and hugs xx

Igglepiggleandhisboat · 09/11/2023 15:36

** meaning that I never though a successful pregnancy would happen for me

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/11/2023 16:03

Thanks so much guys
The positive stories help a lot

Nannied round the world for years - caring for others children

So badly want my own

Only met my partner at 35

Miscarriage at 36.5

Heres to trying again and hopefully getting super lucky

We concieved 2nd cycle trying but then had a very upsetting early miscarriage

Didnt expect to concieve that fast ... & equally - then didnt expect it to go so wrong so fast

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. Like others, I had a MMC at 11 weeks, which I finally miscarried without medical assistance a couple of weeks later. I conceived two months later and she is now almost two.

Wishing you healing and good luck in the future Flowers

Sorry for you loss, hope it’s okay to join, I’m currently going through a MMC, medical treatment next week to help pass. It was my third month trying and again didn’t expect any of this, so confusing and heartbreaking 💔. I’m hoping to try again end of this month. I’ve heard you’re fertile after a mc but don’t want to compare incase it doesn’t happen immediately but heard lots of positive stories. X

I had a MMC at around ten weeks..was pregnant 2 months later, was gobsmacked, we had got married the week before I found out and I remember being so down after my miscarriage and thinking I'd never have a baby whilst at my wedding with pregnant friends and friends babies there, unbeknownst to me was already up the duff! Also in my late thirties too.

CCrowe · 09/11/2023 18:06

Sorry to hear what you went through OP, and everyone else. We were heartbroken to have a mmc at 9.5 weeks after 2 years of trying for our first baby. I was a few months from my 40th birthday and as well as the grief we thought we'd missed our chance.

Got pregnant again on the second try, now 15 weeks pregnant.

Good luck x

So sorry OP Flowers I've had 2 miscarriages and I fell pregnant with both my DCs a few months after each one x

finallyfoundmyself · 09/11/2023 19:41

I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks in dec 2021. Baby had suddenly passed after previous good scans. I was pregnant again March 2022 on first try and delivered a perfectly healthy little girl Dec 2023. I was so scared after the loss but please hold hope and I really hope it works out for you!! Currently cuddling my 10mo and it brings me a little peace knowing that she wouldn't be here if I hadn't had the MC Flowers

cherryscola · 09/11/2023 20:49

Sorry OP - it's a horrible thing to go through.

I had a mmc at around 8 weeks november 2018, had surgical management to remove. Period returned mid December and I fell pregnant that first cycle which was a chemical. Fell pregnant with my DD 2 months later.

With my youngest I was breastfeeding, not trying and had no periods at the time. Had no idea I was pregnant for a while.

No rhyme or reason to it.
