Pregnancy test

Hi,

i took a test this morning and it appears I’m pregnant. How long should I wait to do another test? First time pregnant here so it’s all new to me. The only symptom I have is bloated and the online calculator says I’m 4 weeks.

Depends on your reasoning to do another test.

Line progression, is normally 48 hours but I was impatient and did do it every morning for the first week - then stopped because it was driving me crazy.

If it's to double check on another test/digital - that line is strong. I would imagine it would show up again today.

The test is very clearly positive, so you don't necessarily have to do another test unless you think something's wrong or you want some reassurance in the days to come to see if the line stays dark / is darker.

In the meantime, get in touch with your local midwifery service to get you into the system so they can start the process for booking you in for your first appointment / scans etc.

First pregnancy, I did it so many times for a couple of weeks but sadly ended in an mmc. Second pregnancy, I did it a couple of times only and that was only because I couldn't quite believe it since it was so soon after the mmc. So basically found out on a Monday and tested again on the Wednesday and that was it as I didn't want to freak myself out with line progression, etc especially as it doesn't say anything about the viability of the pregnancy.

I only retested if I was uncertain ie faint line
But yours is without a doubt a BFP!
I did a Digital test after gettting a BFP just so it was in writing for my OH to see when I surprised him.

Thank you, I did another today and the test was a lot darker! Just waiting for a midwife appointment now :)
