Anyone discovered they have low blood sugar after blood tests?

My GP phoned me this evening to tell me my blood sugar was too low when I had my blood test. He wants me to go back for another test and asked me if I'd fasted for the previous day. In fact, I ate loads the previous day and had breakfast, so I'm worried about why my blood sugar was low. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm 10 and a half weeks.

It can be normal for you - my blood sugar is quite low naturally. It's good actually - much better than too high. You can try combining protein with carbs more, that will help stabilise it and obviously eat four hours before the test.

thank you - whomovedmychoc.
the doc said that high blood sugar is usually more of a problem, he was just bemused about why mine was low. i had eaten a bananna smoothie for breakfast and a digestive biscuit but maybe not enough.

Yep, that'd do it. If you aren't feeling shakey or faint, you are probably fine. So your body is efficient - fab!
