Maternity clothing argh!

Why is every piece of maternity clothing i find and try on either completely hideous or just doesn't fit, ie maternity jeans just fall down. I am still grappling with my old clothes at 6 months pregnant - leggings and stretchy dresses.

How would you style this style of dress for a work outfit? I'm thinking I wouldn't be able to last in heeled boots all day...

OP maternity clothes are crap. I’m a bog standard sized 10 in h&m and an 8 in m&s and in pregnancy have to buy size 4 & 6’s as everything is huge!! I make do with tights in a size up, stretchy/peplum/shirt dresses from my own wardrobe, and the odd pair of maternity jeans.

To style that dress…I wear similar with thick winter tights (prob black) and black biker/chunky above ankle type boots. A warm cropped jacket (again usually my own so would be left open. I’m 26 weeks and starting to be unable to close them now!). I’m also smart casual for work and I’ve managed to find two pairs of maternity cargo type trousers that I’m wearing with boots, a thermal long sleeved top, and oversized shirts (that I own). Would that work for you?

M&S maternity jeggings are great! I just got my usual size 10 and can vouch for H&M maternity tights too - I do suggest sizing up in these.

I’ve mainly wore knitted midi dresses in a size bigger than normal from H&M, ASOS and New Look with tights and boots.

Jeggings with oversized jumpers from H&M or long sleeved tops with a trench.

JoJo Maman Bebe and Seraphine were my go-to for well fitting maternity wear. So much on Vinted no need to buy new.

I'd just wear flats with that dress you pictured. Flat calf boots if not just plain simple flats.

I found new look were quite gd but all online 🙄 Try being pregnant and a short arse. It's so hard to find petite range maternity wear!

I liked Topshop jeans bought them on eBay as they were so expensive. Towards the end I only had one pair that fitted 🙈 so I basically wore the same pair of jeans or some dresses to work with flats!

@notunworldlywise I had a similar dress when I was pregnant and converse high tops went with it depends if u can wear them at work
