Hello everyone

I'm just looking for some advice
Long story short, I am around 6 weeks pregnant. I went for a scan on Sunday and ges sac and yolk sac where there but no baby yet, then I started bleeding, not heavy but like a light period and cramping.
I phoned EPU who booked me in for a scan on the Wednesday, went for a scan expecting the worst and baby had developed and grown and was on screen with its little heart beat 🥰 amazing news!

EPU discharged me and had no concerns, unsure why I was bleeding but think maybe due to implantation, which would make sense I guess.

I am just unsure what to do now. Should I be resting? Can I carry on as normal? I have been off work this week but had plans to go back on Monday. I'm still bleeding, I don't want to over do it.

Anyone had a similar situation ? Thanks x

I bled on and off from weeks 6-10 and everything is fine, I rested when I was knackered anyway and carried on as normal when I wasn't. If EPU don't have any concerns and haven't told you to do anything differently I'd just crack on, appreciate it can be very worrying though so don't force yourself to do anything you don't feel up to x

Thanks for your response 😊 I guess your right, I will just listen to my body. I think going back to work will be a good distraction.
Did they say a reason for your bleeding? X x

Is this your first pregnancy?
Don't be afraid to call EPU back to clarify at what point you should come back (what level/duration of bleeding etc). Keep track of how much blood, note colour and consistency.

I know it's really difficult, but it is so early, there are a few possible outcomes, and you can't control which one you get. Try to focus on looking after yourself mentally and physically.

@baby197 yes, I have a bicornuate uterus (heart shaped). But it can happen for a variety of reasons, sometime it's just old blood making its way out.
