Hey everyone,

Hoping someone can help. I’ve been taking 100mg of B6 for the past 4 weeks to try and increase my luteal phase/progesterone levels as I feel this had a part to play in my MMC in August (baby stopped growing at 8+4 but saw a healthy heartbeat on a private scan at 8+4).

I got my bfp yesterday but unsure whether I am able to continue taking 100mg of b6 as it says on the instructions that it’s not suitable for pregnant women to take, however I have read that b6 is sometimes prescribed for morning sickness? Google is giving conflicting info and not sure what to do for the best with my vitamins.

Anyone been in the same boat? X

I was taking 50mg of B6 in addition to the 10mg in my multivitamin for 3 months before I got pregnant. I continued taking it until I was 12 weeks and all was fine! Currently 32 weeks pregnant.
When I asked the fertility consultant early on, and the midwives at my booking appointment, they had no clue about B6! As you say, doctors prescribe it for morning sickness. And funnily enough I only had a little bit of nausea at night in my first trimester!
I was taking it for my luteal phase as well, but didn't want to go straight onto 100mg in case I didn't need it. So I stuck with 50mg!

Thank you @Charlielechat and congrats on your pregnancy! I’ve ordered 50mg strength to get delivered today as I feel like I still want to take a higher dose than what’s in the prenatal to keep my progesterone high but 100mg does seem a bit too high x
