I've been seen by the epu for bleeding and cramps, and my hcg levels were 67 on Monday and only rose to 77 on Wednesday. Has anyone has anything similar? I have to go back on Sunday for a repeat bloods as they aren't 100% on whether it's mc or just early pregnancy. They've scanned but aren't sure if what they're seeing is a gestation sack or fluid sack from the bleeding.

I more or less posted the same thing a few months ago except Epu refused to scan me at 5 weeks as they didn’t want to upset me if they didn’t see anything. They booked me in for just after 6 weeks and I seen the flicker of a heart beat.
My hcg levels were also slow rising and one midwife told me to prepare for the worst.

I’m now almost 20 weeks pregnant. All I can say is one very lovely midwife spent a lot of time reassuring me. She explained everything was out of my control and what will be will be. She reminded me to stay hopeful and keep busy. At the time I was broken but it was lovely having someone reassure me that even though it’s all you can think about, it’s really nothing you can do just now.

@Hiddenvoice ah that so lovely to hear it worked out for you, congratulations! I'm trying to stay positive but it's definitely easier said than done! Thank you for the advice

Just wanted to share a different perspective as when I went through this I was searching high and low for success stories but came across negative ones and I’m glad I did. I had some shoulder pain at 5 weeks so had my levels taken and they weren’t rising as they should and were not doubling so suspected ectopic. Had a scan at 6 and 7 weeks where baby grew in the right place and had a heartbeat but now at 10 weeks I had a MMC and baby stopped growing at 7 weeks 4 days and I am now going through a MC. Don’t want to make you lose hope as all I wanted was hope but it didn’t work out for me and I found it easiest to be prepared for both situations even after seeing a heartbeat. Praying for you ❤️

How are you getting on? I’m in the exact same boat right now and had two doctors tell me two very different things so my heads a mess xxx

@J11b unfortunately mine was a miscarriage but going by what the doctors were saying, it could have gone either way. My best advice is to do everything as if you are still pregnant (limit caffiene and avoid alcohol etc) and try to stay positive but prepare for the worst so you are completely blindsided. Its such a difficult time to be in limbo without any real answers, so just look after yourself and try not to bottle up any feelings. Sending all the positivity your way and hoping for a good scenario for you and baby ❤️
